I have watched some of your video, enjoyed watching them and learned from them. Recently I am interested in DMR radio, and will get involved especially after I retire in 9? months.
I am not familiar with Cbridge. Can hot spots be used with it? I watched your video and a longer round table discussion and am a bit confused if they can be used or not. Maybe I can reach a cbridge repeater? I,m in Houston, zip 77031. I do not see DMR hotspots near me prefer to use a HT hence the hot spot build idea.
Next do you have any links on building a DMR spot using a small inexpensive computer – I saw one mentioned the used old Dell very small computers that were $20? I planned to use a PI but but am much more familiar with computers. I may build both.
My call sign is KD5TZI I really miss the Salt Grass Link System !!! I could hit the 70cm repeater from Wharton with a large mag mount antenna with my Icom T7-H. Some very bad squirrels (2 were the worst including a lawyer) ruined it for everyone. I knew the two “Steve’s” the rail road one a lot better.
I am avoiding the local repeaters because of the “manners” of some people. Even if people disagree they can be civil. I was never the target and stick to safe topics. I have mentioned square dancing a few times but at least is is safe for kids, work and church.

Thanks for what you do!
